How long are you going to fake it? And do you really think it’s working? I don’t think I’m all that different from most people on social media, torn between the desire to be authentic and the fear of being attacked for it.
First, in holding back, I was betraying my faith in Jesus Christ. Let’s be clear: He is either the Son of God or the greatest fraud who ever lived. There’s no middle ground. Yet across centuries, billions have followed Him, many all the way to their deaths.
Still, I kept quiet, afraid people wouldn’t like me for who I was or what I believed. Every time I stayed silent while radicals hijacked culture and media with their empty promise of “tolerance,” my own confidence in Christ eroded.
Second, I was failing to represent Him at all. The assassination of Charlie Kirk jolted me awake. I hate that he’s gone, but it forced me to confront the truth: I had been inauthentic, cowardly, and ineffective in representing the One who gave me everything.
