Gratitude and Reflection: A Thanksgiving Message

Thanksgiving always sneaks up on me. Every year, I tell myself I’m not going to write the typical holiday newsletter, and every year I end up writing one anyway. I used to wonder whether anyone actually wanted to read this kind of thing. Then I realized I read other people’s Thanksgiving reflections myself. So here we are.

Thanksgiving is one of the most underappreciated holidays we have. Not the food, or the travel, or the football. The spirit of it. Gratitude. Reflection. Perspective. All the things we rush past in daily life because slowing down feels foreign.

This year, I have a lot to be thankful for. My faith. My family. My friends. My clients. The people I get to collaborate with. The people who challenge me. The people who trust me. And the fact that I get to do meaningful work at a moment in history when everything seems to be shifting under our feet. Being alive right now is a strange mix of blessing and pressure. But it’s still a blessing.
